Sunday's Sermon: Spiritual Awakening
I believe, one of the most neglected steps in the Christian life. Very often we come before God to confess our sins and it stops there. But if we truly want to experience the outpouring of God's Spirit, if we truly want to experience a great Spiritual Awakening, if we want have peace in our lives, we must go further, we must make things right with the people in this world. That's what Jesus was saying in Matthew. 5:23,24, ““Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.” Listen to what I am about to say. A right relationship and friendship with God is not possible when there is a wrong relationship or friendship with those around us. When we have ruptured relationships horizontally, we have a ruptured relationship vertically. That doesn't mean we are not saved, but it does mean that He is not really Lord of our lives. We are not willing to let Him be Lord of everything and accept people on His conditions.
